Dr. Courtney earned a Bachelors degree in neuroscience from Colorado College in 2008, and then returned to Iowa for veterinary school, graduating in 2012. After a brief stint working for Iowa State University, Courtney returned to Southwest Iowa to practice at the Anita Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Courtney enjoys working with a variety of small and large animal species. She is a member of the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association bovine committee, and volunteers her free time with youth organizations including 4-H and FFA.

Outside of work Courtney manages her own cow herd and farm with her husband and veterinary school classmate, Matt. They also share their home with one cat, and their English setters: Tessa and Rita

Favorite thing about working at Anita Veterinary Clinic:  Dr. Courtney's favorite part of the job is working with pet owners and producers. She takes pride in serving as an advocate for animal well being.
