Dr. Gerald Wessels
Dr. Wessels graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1967. He and his wife Cheryl moved to Anita directly from Ames and started working with Dr. Oson. He quickly bought the practice and settled permanently here, operating as a solo practitioner until 2009. After years of "use and abuse" as he says it with a smile on his face, Dr. Wessels decide to sell out and slow down. That is when then partnership between Stuart and Anita began.
Dr. Wessels primarily helps manage the office. He helps customers, orders supplies, and provides lots of needed advice.
Dr. Wessels is a well respected member of the community, serving on many boards and committees. He has built loyal, thriving clientele by providing quality, no-nonsense service, and is proud to call them friends as well.
Cheryl Wessels has been married to Gerry almost 50 years, and believes she should get an award for that fact alone. Cheryl has continued to do all the bookkeeping in our transition, and keeps us aware of important business saving decisions. Cheryl is also very active in the Anita community, serving in many positions and on committees for the Methodist church and various political organizations. Gerry and Cheryl are very proud of their 3 daughters and their families.
